This is the part that trips people up: Iowa allows fireworks sales for weeks around both July 4th and New Year's, so it's easy to assume you can use them across that whole window. In Ankeny you can't. The city permits consumer fireworks on the 4th of July and no other day - not July 3rd, not the weekend before, not December 31st.
