The Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market: when it's on, where it is, and what to expect.

Saturday mornings in the warm months, Uptown Ankeny fills up with produce stands, food trucks and neighbors - it's the closest thing the town has to a weekly front porch. Here's the simple version: the day, the time, the address, the season, and the handful of dates that move around holidays.

The short answer

The Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market runs Saturdays, 8 a.m.-noon, at the Ankeny Market & Pavilion (AMP), 715 W 1st St. The 2026 season is May 23 - Sept 26. It's free to attend. Two dates move: the July 4th week shifts to Thursday evening, and it's closed the Saturday of the Summerfest Grand Parade.

The market sets up at the Ankeny Market & Pavilion - locals just call it the AMP - the open-air pavilion in Uptown that doubles as a trailhead for the High Trestle Trail. You'll find Iowa produce, baked goods, meat and eggs, cut flowers, crafts and food trucks. Come early for the best pick; come later for the slow-stroll-and-coffee version.

Summerfest Grand Parade Saturdaymarket closed

Almost every Saturday is a go, but those two are the ones people get caught by: the market slides to a Thursday evening during the Fourth of July week, and it takes the Saturday of the Ankeny Chamber Summerfest Grand Parade off. When in doubt on a holiday weekend, check the Uptown Ankeny schedule - or we'll flag it in the Brief that week.
